History of Salt Therapy

Halotherapy, aka Salt Therapy, has been recommended by healers and philosophers since ancient times for respiratory, skin, and other health issues. Salt is a natural disinfectant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antibacterial and contains 84 elements and trace elements in the human body, making it more powerful than even moist air in its healing properties. The climate conditions in a dry salt room must maintain certain temperature and humidity levels with proper ventilation to ensure the efficacy of the salt therapy, and provide a ‘clean-air’ environment.

Our Mission is to provide a beautiful, relaxing and peaceful space to enjoy the multitude of benefits of dry salt therapy, and to create a soothing experience that captivates all of your senses. Just Breathe...

Modern dry salt therapy has its origins from the salt mines and caves in Europe and Russia. As the workers were mining the salt (through chiseling, grinding and hammering), micro-sized salt particles were being disbursed into the air. Additionally, there were ideal conditions below the Earth’s surface where air pressure, circulation, humidity and temperature affected the quality of the environment. In this environment, miners were receiving many natural health benefits by breathing in the salt particles. Considering that mining jobs were usually recognized as dangerous to life and health, salt miners seemed to thrive on good health. They rarely had any respiratory issues and their skin also looked younger.
